Harlequins wing Sam Smith has signed a new deal with the Premiership leaders, tieing him to The Stoop until the end of the 2013-4 season.
"Having grown up at Quins with a lot of the players I know the importance of these relationships," said Smith.
"We have great players and coaches, and I am grateful for all the support I have had to get me to where I am."
The academy product, 21, has played 22 first team games since his debut in a friendly against Connacht in 2008.
The former England Under-16s, 18s and 20s player has become a significant part of director of rugby Conor O'Shea's squad this season.
"He is a young player with a really professional attitude and an uncanny ability to score tries," said O'Shea. "Sam is an example to all young players with how he conducts himself, both on and off the pitch.
"I have no doubt that, with his work ethic, he will continue to improve in all aspects of his game, and score a huge number of tries for this club."
