Scotland set up dates with New Zealand & South Africa

New Zealand will be Scotland's opening opposition in next year's autumn Tests
New Zealand were 49-3 winners on their last visit to Murrayfield

Scotland will play world champions New Zealand at Murrayfield next autumn.

The All Blacks will provide the opposition in the opening EMC Test on the weekend of 10/11 November, with the kick-off time still to be revealed.

Replicating the 2010 autumn schedule, South Africa will follow New Zealand to Edinburgh on 17/18 November.

Tonga provide the opposition in the third and final Test on the weekend of November 24/25.

Scotland have never beaten New Zealand and the world champions ran out 49-3 winners on their 2010 visit.

The Scots recovered from that mauling to beat the Springboks 21-17.

Tonga last played a Test in Scotland in 2001, when the home side were 43-20 winners.

"Once again we have a fixture list for the 2012 EMC autumn Tests which really whets the appetite as we'll be engaged in Test match rugby against the cream of the southern hemisphere," said Scotland head coach Andy Robinson.

"Before that, of course, we have the RBS Six Nations Championship and then our summer tour to Australia, Fiji and Samoa."
