Leicester Tigers centre Matt Smith says Saturday's hard-fought Heineken Cup win over Ulster at Welford Road was as well as they have performed this term.
Smith scored the only try as Tigers ran out 20-9 victors to secure their second win in two games in Europe.
Smith told BBC Radio Leicester: "We are improving and that was probably our best performance of the season so far.
"But we still have a lot to work on and a lot of guys out injured. Hopefully we can march up the Premiership now."
Leicester, who are 10th in the Premiership having only won two of their eight games so far this season, return to league action with a home fixture against Gloucester on Saturday.
