Lamont wants a chance of adding to his 26 caps for Scotland

Scotland full-back Rory Lamont is seeking a new club after terminating his contract at Toulon.

The 29-year-old joined the French outfit from Sale in 2009 but has been used sparingly this term.

"I want to play for Scotland and I have to find a club where I can play more rugby - I promise it will not be in France," Lamont wrote on Twitterexternal-link.

"I am sad to be leaving but the possibility of playing has been limited this season."

Lamont made a try-scoring debut for Scotland against Wales in March 2005 and has been capped on 26 occasions.

He was in Scotland's World Cup squad but played in just one of four pool games, the 15-6 victory over Georgia.
