London Irish number eight Chris Hala'ufia has been cited for an alleged dangerous high tackle in his side's victory over Racing Metro.

The 33-year-old Tongan has been charged for his first-half tackle on Racing full-back Gaetan Germain.

The Exiles beat the French side 34-14 in the Heineken Cup on Saturday to keep their hopes of progressing out of the pool stage alive.

Hala'ufia has only recently returned from a seven-week ban.

The former Harlequins man has a history of being suspended, having faced three, four and eight-week bans in 2010 and 2011 prior to his latest suspension for a high tackle on Gloucester's Olly Morgan.

Irish are currently without a number of first-team regulars because of disciplinary reasons.

Back Delon Armitage, 27, is currently serving a five-week ban, centre Shontayne Hape, 30, is reaching the end of his four-week suspension and fellow centre Steve Shingler, 20, is awaiting the outcome of his appeal against a four-week ban.
