Worcester coach Richard Hill says the club have offered Miles Benjamin and Marcel Garvey new contracts amid rumours both were set to leave Sixways.
Hill offered the players new deals over a month ago but they have yet to make a decision on their futures.
"It may well depend on the league postion towards the end of the season," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"If we start winning games and moving up the table then it might impact on one or both of them."
Hill added: "We put contracts in front of them a while ago and they have not signed them, which is an indication they are both keeping their options open.
"We'll do what we can to keep them here, but if you offer a contract and wait a month, you have to have doubts that they will sign.
"Miles and his agent say they have not made a decision yet, I can only hope we can turn him round to stay at the club through some good results and moving up the table."
