Amlin Challenge Cup: Newcastle 43-0 Petrarca

Joel Hodgson
Hodgson scored his first Falcons try

Newcastle ran riot in the second half against Petrarca to keep their European Challenge Cup pool two qualification hopes alive.

Falcons laboured initially with Tom Catterick's try their only return.

But they cut loose after the break as James Fitzpatrick crashed over and teenage fly-half Joel Hodgson went in.

Ryan Shortland added the bonus-point try and a late second, which were interspersed by tries from Jordi Pasqualin and Ashley Wells.
