Exeter Chiefs boss Rob Baxter aims to extend winning run

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter says his side must focus on trying to keep their winning run going.

Exeter have beaten Leicester, Newcastle and Wasps in the Premiership since the start of 2012.

The Chiefs face Bath in a West Country derby on Saturday, and have never beaten them in the league.

"The challenge is to keep this run going, but also to meet new challenges and try to beat sides we haven't beaten before," Baxter told BBC Radio Devon.

"It's [about] keeping this nice feeling of collecting points [going] and expecting to win and hoping to win and attacking games in a positive manner."

And Baxter is hoping his side attack Bath in the same way that they have approached their last few matches.

Exeter have won six out of seven games in all competitions since January, only losing to Bath in the LV= Cup with a weakened side in a game that had no bearing on qualification for the knockout rounds.

"We've got to go after them because you only beat teams you go after. You have to attack them and try to win the game and that's what we'll do against Bath.

"We know what they're about, they know what we're about and so far they've won that battle."
