Plymouth Albion's bid to avoid relegation from the Championship got off to a bad start as they went down 25-17 at Moseley.
Albion led 12-6 at half time through four Gavin Love penalties and went 17-6 ahead when Ruari Cushion went over early in the second half.
But Ollie Thomas kicked two penalties to add to his first-half pair before converting Adam Caves' try for 19-17.
Thomas then kicked two more penalties late on to seal the win for Moseley.
