Thurrock Rugby Club is aiming to reach the Championship in five years.
The ambitious Essex club has just won promotion to National League Three after romping away with the London One North title this season.
Club manager Kevin Hymas told BBC Essex: "Our aim is to get as close to the Championship as we possibly can within the next five seasons.
"We are dependant on outside help, but we are in a great place with plenty of support on and off the field."
Thurrock completed 22 consecutive league victories and amassed over 1,000 points during this season's campaign.
They will play in National League Three, London & South East next season.
Hymas added: "We've had two promotions in three seasons and we are looking to further that. The committee has the full backing of the club and its members."
Last week Jersey Rugby Club reached the Championship - the second tier of English club rugby - following four promotions in five seasons.
