Craig Gilroy's thrilling Heineken Cup score for Ulster against Munster has been voted try of the year by the Irish Rugby Players' Association.
The winger's solo effort helped Ulster pull off a brilliant quarter-final win at Thomond Park in April.
Gilroy was nominated for the young players of the year award which was won by Munster's Peter O'Mahony.
Ulster flanker Stephen Ferris was pipped to the player of the year award by Leinster full-back Rob Kearney.
Former Munster prop John Hayes, who retired last year after more than 100 appearances for Ireland, was inducted into the IRUPA Hall of Fame at the awards function in Dublin on Wednesday night.
Ulster's own award ceremony takes place on Thursday night, nine days before their season culminates in the Heineken Cup final against Leinster at Twickenham.
