Chris Henry was named Ulster player of the year

Chris Henry was named Ulster player of the year at the provincial outfit's annual awards on Thursday night.

Irish international flanker Stephen Ferris was chosen as 'Personality of the Year'.

Henry pipped John Afoa and Paddy Wallace to lift the player award while Craig Gilroy took the young player of the year at the Culloden Hotel.

Paul Marshall was named the most improved player with Chris Farrell taking the Academy award.

Pedrie Wannenburg was named as Ulster Rugby Supporters' Club 'player of the year'.
