Cardiff Blues' Chris Czekaj out for three months
Cardiff Blues have confirmed utility back Chris Czekaj will be out for three months with a foot injury.
Czekaj, who can play at full-back or on the wing, was forced to leave the field during the pre-season match against Worcester on 11 August.
The 26-year-old has suffered ligament injury which has made bones in the foot unstable and has undergone surgery.
"It's a bit of a shame really," Cardiff Blues director of rugby Phil Davies said.
"Chris hurt his ankle against Worcester and will be out for a couple of months."
The injury is the latest blow for Czekaj, who suffered a broken leg during Wales' Test match against Australia in 2007.
