Gloucester player-coach Mike Tindall captains Gloucester for their trip to newly-promoted Mont de Marsan as the Cherry and Whites kick off the European fixtures for this season.
Charlie Sharples and Ian Clark start on the wings with Tim Taylor and Dave Lewis forming the half-back duo.
Yann Thomas, Kore Britton and Shaun Knight form the front row.
Peter Buxton and Will James are at lock, with Matt Cox, Andy Hazell and Sione Kalamafoni in the back row.
Their French opponents sit at the bottom of the Top 14 table but with Bordeaux and London Irish also in Gloucester's pool Nigel Davies is taking nothing for granted.
VIEWS FROM THE TRAINING GROUND
Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies told BBC Points West:
"To continue winning and building on our game is very important.
"We will make some changes because it's only right and proper that we do; we've rotated the squad in the Premiership already.
"It it important that we give some other people the opportunity but we're expecting no less from these guys.
"They've got to take our game forward. This is not an opportunity to relax - we've got to push on and get stronger."
