Can't believe the Cipriani PR machine is making the front page again. Sale are in deep trouble and there are some great and much more interesting no. 10s in the premiership. Jerry, please don't take the bait. I don't understand how a player who is a creative attacker but cannot (will not) tackle can be so lauded.
Try dictionary.choice:-"Hero"n. Great Bloke, able to strip a ute, carry a sheep under both arms, and discuss early civilization in the Fertile Crescent and play rugby whilst paralysed from the waist down and still dominate the breakdown despite having his head kicked, his eyes gouged and being pretty much crucified see Richie McCaw, also see Billy Bush
Here is an extract from dictionary.comImpunityExample. Richie has impunitySee, I was right.
JeremyYou work for the Beeb and I daresay they vet all contributors for awareness of the arcane rules of grammar ( if not for other things we shan't mention here ).Can you "have" impunity? There's a lot riding on this...........perhaps not quite up there with the winning drop goal against the Boks but grammar is important nonetheless.
Nice angling there ....How's about a discussion about up and coming English talent? Beyond that, I'm not sure you can "have" impunity. I think you can do things with impunity, and you can have immunity. I think we need a ruling from the Old Grammarians.
Lance Armstrong had impunity.
Richie's impunity....The evidence of which is.......At this point ( to quote Dragon's Den ) I'm out.At this point feel free to say you've been vindicated ( although I'm pretty sure you don't need my to tell you that ).
Take away Richie's impunity and what kind of team would NZ be?A non winning world cup side thats for sure...and probably a lot less tri nations titles as well.

He's a cheat, but only in so far as referee's allow him; and that is something you would say about ALL great number 7s.If you watch the Australia v SA WC QF again and imagine it with a different ref then Pocock would have been lucky to finish the 1st half due to his excessive infringments. It's what all players should do - play the referee. It's no more cheating than a SH feeding a scrum
"played the world cup final with a broken foot"Have we another David Haye here? lol
No one said Richie McCaw was a cheater he just pushes the limits and he is perfectly on the right side of being branded a cheater. What he does is NOT cheating its just so close to cheating that people see him as a cheater...but he is not a cheater...Richie McCaw is not a CHEATER!
Can I also commend anyone who is down on Richie to read Matthew Syed's article in the Times today. Richie may be a bit ....errr...reluctant to roll way but he pays for this physically, perhaps in a way that others are not so keen to do and maybe that's why he "gets away" with whatever he's doing.well that and EPO........ ( joking!!)
OK - fear of what, exactly? As for money, the NZRFU has none and they have the same number of votes as any of the Home Nations, too.I wouldn't be surprised if Richie does operate at the bonds of what is legal, but that is what any decent flanker should do.I'm genuinely at a loss to understand why the refs don't ping him savagely when everyone else is telling them what to do.
