Eleven points-got it wrong.
Good luck to Scotland. I do think SA will win comfortably though.
Bookies have Scotland at 4/1 to win - seems about right.
I fancy a scotland win by 5
The difference between this SA team and last week is the introduction of de Jongh in the midfield. He is an incisive runner and adds some spice to the back line. The Springboks seemed a bit at sea in the first half against Ireland, but I think they'll move up another gear today and, unless weather conditions are terrible, I take them to win by 20 points.
As an interested neutral I think Scotland can do this. Watching England in the summer and Ireland last week against SA, if you can shutdown Alberts and Leouw then a win is definitely on the cards. The Boks definitely lack something when Bimarck Du Plessis isn't playing and one thing Andy Robinson can do is get a pack in shape!
All depends on the leaky Edinburgh midfield. But on any given Saturday, its 15 on 15. Lets go for it Scotland.
When u rubbish Sco chances, they surprise us all. When u go to Murrayfield with any sense of optimism for Sco, they lose. Sco fans seem to be rather optimistic this time. Don't be, or the SA will play out of their skins and crush you. Pienaar will cause problems. He knows this opposition from RD Pro12 and is on form. Scots will match SA power with heart and good conditioning. Will be great!
@16. i think it is because of the physicallity of this match, he missed a tackle for New Zealands last try a week ago i believe and it is maybe because we also have Visser in the side ofcourse, who is not a great tackler either up against the likes of De Villiers in mf then Evans may struggle. Seymour is bigger and will keep continuity of the big men of the wings. excited for this match!
What happened to Max Evans? Always thought he looked pretty dangerous for Scotland and he isn't even on the bench.
Scotland have a great chance to take a big 3 scalp tomorrow. Unlike Heaslip, the Scottish back row NEED to stay on the field - the momentum change was huge when Heaslip was carded. Scotland need to bring Visser into the game more - Bowe looked exciting when he got the ball last week - Visser can match this. Massive game for Matt Scott against De Villiers - stop him they may stop the Springboks!
Firstly, have to agree with Obsen. You can only play the team that's infront of you. I'm sure no team has ever been put out to lose so you've got to give credit to any win against a test nation.Looking at tomorrow, I think with a more aggressive, positive defence, Scotland can put SA under pressure and force errors. Need to get more attacking players, Hogg etc into the game
I think SA provide a different kind of challenge to the ABs. Scotland have a chance, but I would still say they are underdogs. But they can take some belief from last weekend, and another big effort and they could come away with the win. They need to be at 100% for the full 80 mins though....
They do have Ruan Pienaar though who can play 9 or 10 and kick goals from 60 yards. Just look how influential he is with Ulster at the moment. As I said in another post if Scotland can keep on scoring tries like they did last week they have a chance of a win. If not then SA will play territorially, bash forward, win a penalty and kick them off the park.
I think Scotland are in the best vein of form they have been in in the last 10 years. 3 great wins in the SH this summer and a respectful showing against the all blacks. I think Scotland will cause SA a lot of trouble. Probably wont win...but I wouldn't be surprised if they did win.
