London Irish have signed Nottingham scrum-half Finlay Barnham on a short-term loan deal.
Barnham, 22, goes straight into the squad for Sunday's LV= Cup trip to Leicester Tigers and will provide back-up for Darren Allinson.
Meanwhile, Tom Homer has re-signed with London Irish for two more seasons.
Full-back Homer was last year's Premiership top scorer with 278 points and London Irish's player of the season.
He first caught the eye while playing centre for England's unbeaten Under-18 side in 2008.
Homer then burst onto the club scene in dramatic style on his Premiership debut for London Irish, scoring two tries against Saracens as an 18-year-old in November 2008.
London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith said he was delighted to secure the talents of Homer for a further two season.
"Tom is a world-class footballer and a future England player," said Smith.
"He has a big-match temperament, an incredible boot and in my view is one of the most complete players in the Premiership.
"More important than all this is the fact that he's an outstanding character and a future leader at this club.
"You'll be hearing a lot more about Tommy Homer - he's destined for great things with London Irish and England."
