Italy 9-26 Wales

Wales maintained hope of retaining their Six Nations title with a clinical victory over Italy in rain-sodden Rome.

The visitors dominated the scrum in the first half but Italy clung on to trail 9-6 at the break.

Wales eased clear when centre Jonathan Davies gathered Mike Phillips' chip-ahead to score the first try.

Wing Alex Cuthbert added a second with a slicing run through the Italian defence, cut to 14 men when prop Martin Castrogiavanni was sin-binned.
