Ospreys have a strong pack yes but its all head down arse up! They need to lift their heads up and play whats in front of them more often and they might be more successful and get bigger crowds!
Sad loss for the Ospreys. The same can't really be said about Mr Holley. He has been quite vocal recently about the talent loss out of Wales. I do hope he doesn't include himself in that. Not sure what he really did for the Ospreys.
Robin McBride suffers a similar fate but Welsh lineout is, shock horror, very safe now, scrum indestructible and all forwards demonstrate skill levels beyond most other forwards and play with accuracy. He still remains largely under praised. Time to admit that some Welsh coaches are worthy of their posts and should be valued.
JH is one of those coaches who never seems to get any credit, probably because he's home grown and we Welsh don't seem to trust that in a coach. But the proof is in the pudding and the Ospreys have produced in the forwards. Even in these austere times the forwards are just rammed full of very special talent who are all gutsy, skilful and committed to the team. JH simply has to be given credit.
Good player. Not sure about coach. Was 1 of the coaches in the click at the ospreys. Holley being the other. Ospreys should benefit from him leaving. His statement earlier in the year that ospreys shouldn't expect to achieve in the Heinekencup, was poor. Wales have since won another 6N and should have a large contingent in the lions. which is a step up. We should be competing in europe.
I think JH is the unsung hero of the Ospreys, I wonder what the WRU and inperticular Lewis who thinks the Welsh Players and coaches shoud stay loyal to the cause and the WRU. Open your eyes Lewis the players coaches and more importantly the clubs are struggling with clubs finding it difficult to field a side almost week on week.
I'm surprised that he's not previously been offered a post in the welsh set up. He's consistently churned out competitive front rows at the O's regardless of whether Adam Jones was available. Wales lose Jones and the scrum falls to pieces. Great coach, let's see what he can do at international level. Good luck!
