Redruth fly-half Murray Westren says home form will be critical to the team's success this season.
The Reds ground out a 26-14 win against Devon side Exmouth at the Rec on Saturday.
"We make a big issue of getting these wins at home," Westren, who kicked six points, told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"It's going to be a big factor in the league this year, it's really strong and home wins are going to be so important."
A last-gasp try from scrum-half Greg Goodfellow secured a valuable bonus point for Redruth, lifting them up to ninth in the National League Two South table.
"It was a good result - it was a hard game so to get a bonus-point win was very satisfying," added director of rugby Adrian Edwards.
"We're getting people back from injury and so on and the more the team plays together, the more they'll gel."
