Just got back....Great second half performance from England, showed intent and purpose without always being cutting or fluent. All the anti-Robshaw nonsense can now stop. Thought the crowd were good today as well. When the team were down they starting singing, even if it is swing low..all in all a good day at the office despite the obvious issues at centre. Come on England..!
Bedzy; you clearly are a throwback to the boot money era. Do you want the selectors to discriminate against the ex league players? Sounds like ya do to me. Move with the times
Looks like SL got most things right, although 12T had a shocker, and Youngs' lineout throwing is just not consistent enough. Hartley should start next week, and maybe now Barritt will get a bit more recognitionThe back 3 went well, Brown was outstanding, Yarde looks to be a real threat, and Ashton also looks back to his best.Still not clear who should start at 9.
@224 Oh dear, you had me up til the last sentence. Also born in Billinge, and it's great to see the town represented in BOTH codes! Let Sam light up the NRL, before a year or two at Sarries, and finally a triumphant reunion of all 3 TOMKINS (note the spelling!) brothers back at Wigan. Well I can but dream! Will have one eye on each brother today, a fantastic story for a talented family!
#334 probably stating the obvious, but the England coach has picked what he believes to be the strongest team available.The fact that 2 of them qualify on residency makes no difference - unless the rules change. The fact that 2 of them played rugby league is about as relevant as the fact that Danny Care is an ex-footballer
Good luck England from a passionate Welsh man , let's get rid of the stigma when they say Welsh fans hate the England rugby team total rubbish most of the Welsh nation supported England during there WC win against Australia back in 2003 & a lot of Welsh fans also support the England football team in the WC ,the only time we differ is when Wales & England play one another & it's banter nothing else
England have a huge choice of players from ex RL players to Pacific Islanders why ? They have the biggest player pool in the world why do they need all these players because they do have a good side even in the 70's & 80's when England were rubbish they still beat the NZ AllBlacks so why RL converts & Pacific Islanders I can understand it , they don't need it with the player pool they have .
#332 Perhaps Rangel has not noticed that from 2014 Sky will be showing Pro12 games.No doubt that is to allow more people to see the games, rather than to make more money. I guess that is also why the Pro12 teams were backing the HEC even though it can only be watched on Sky.
@331. only shows how closed his mind is I suppose. Still shattered dreams are painful, it's happens to us all when we grow up and realise that the world isn't quite as we thought it was. Father Xmas, the tooth Fairy, Sport being a business things like that.
@330 How ott of you
