Italy's Michele Rizzo and Rabah Slimani of France will face a disciplinary hearing on 12 February after they were sent off during France's 30-10 Six Nations victory on Sunday.
The duo exchanged head-butts before prop Rizzo threw several upper-cuts at his counterpart Slimani.
They were the first players to see red in a Six Nations match since Scotland lock Scott Murray in 2006.
France face Wales on 21 February, with Italy hosting Scotland the next day.
An independent Six Nations disciplinary committee will determine the length of any bans for Rizzo and Slimani at the hearing in London.
