Newcastle Falcons centre Gonzalo Tiesi is eagerly awaiting his first home Premiership appearance, having spent three months out injured.
The Argentina international, 28, tore his hamstring against England, 48 hours after
On Sunday, he is expected to be in the side against leaders Northampton.
He told BBC Look North: "It's been very frustrating to have to wait this long when I thought I'd be playing straight after the autumn internationals."
Tiesi, who has won 37 caps for the Pumas, has previous Premiership experience from spells with London Irish, Harlequins and London Welsh.
He finally made his Falcons bow in the LV= Cup victory over Newport Gwent Dragons earlier this month, before starting the league and Harlequins.
Last weekend, Newcastle almost ended a run of eight successive league losses, only for in the closing minutes.
"I've had a tough time in the gym doing rehab for two months so it's a relief to be playing," Tiesi added.
"We were so close to getting a result against Harlequins and I think we can be confident this weekend after two strong away performances."
