Argentina have made nine changes for Friday's Test against Scotland.

Cubelli Thomas captains the side at scrum-half, with Santiago Gonzales Iglesias and Marias Orlando forming the new centre partnership.

Cordero Santiago starts on the wing, while Matias Alemanno, Matias Diaz, Julian Montoya, Javier Ortega Desio and Bruno Postiglioni join the pack.

The Pumas lost 23-17 last weekend in the second of two Test defeats by Ireland.

Coach Daniel Hourcade moves Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino from right wing to full-back.

Utility back Joaquin Tuculet and forwards Antonio de Chazal, Ahualli Tomas Lavanini and Lucas Noguera Paz drop to the bench, while Glasgow Warriors back Gabriel Ascarate is among those missing out.

The Scots beat Canada 19-17 on Saturday, having overcome the United States the previous weekend.

And head coach Vern Cotter, who has selected Grant Gilchrist as captain for the match at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes, expects "a big challenge" in Cordoba.

He explained: "Argentina have improved from the two games against Ireland and they'll be looking to improve again before they take on the All Blacks, the Springboks and the Australians [later this year]."
