Gloucester have confirmed that forwards coach Andrew Stanley is to leave the Premiership club.

The former Cherry and Whites player has taken up a director of rugby role at Dean Close School and will leave Kingsholm in the next few weeks.

"Stan is Gloucester through and through, and his contribution to the club cannot be underestimated," said chief executive Stephen Vaughan.

Stanley has spent the last two seasons on the coaching staff at Gloucester.

He was brought in from Worcester Warriors as senior academy manager before switching to his current role last summer.

It means scrum coach Trevor Woodman is the only remaining member of last season's backroom team at Gloucester.

Former Ulster boss David Humphries has replaced Nigel Davies as director of rugby, and he brings with him head coach Laurie Fisher, backs coach Nick Walshe and defence coach John Muggleton.
