Scarlets boss Wayne Pivac wants improvements

Scarlets players look dejected after defeat against Leinster
Scarlets are still seeking their first win in this season's Pro12

Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac is to "pull apart" their performance following their heavy defeat at Pro12 champions Leinster.

Leinster outclassed the Scarlets, securing a 42-12 win on the second weekend of the season.

The Welsh side are host Treviso on Saturday seeking a first win of the season after being held by Ulster in their opening game.

"We were disappointed with our own performance," Pivac said.

"So really for us it's to reflect on some of those poor decisions, poor handling and the mistakes in the turnover.

"[We need to have a] hard long look at our performance and see how we can turn them around.

"The beauty of the competition is that you don't have to wait too long to get into your next encounter.

"What we've got to do is deal with this and focus on what could be a pretty exciting month coming up."

Scarlets' clash against Italian side Treviso at Parc y Scarlets is the first of three Pro12 games before they begin their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign at Toulon.

"We've got to look at the things we're doing well and build on those," Pivac added.

"It's each individual going away and having a look at their game and bringing the improvements that they can make to the table... and making sure collectively we work hard in the areas that we need to, to make sure we get a better performance.

"It's a long season and you do have disappointments, but it's [about] how you bounce back from those."
