Plymouth Albion have signed Australian utility back Marc Koteczky after a spate of injuries at Brickfields.
The 24-year-old, who joins from Sydney based club Randwick, also has experience of European rugby after playing for Reggio in Italy.
"At present we only have two fit centres, one fit fly-half and no fit full-back so Marc's arrival is very timely," said coach James Shanahan.
"We needed another back and he fits the bill because he can play 10, 12 or 15."
Shanahan, who covers the fly-half position as a player-coach, is one of the Albion squad currently out through injury, along with Declan Cusack and Elliot Clements-Hill
"I contacted an agent I know well and he recommended Marc. I looked at some footage of him and was impressed by what I saw," added Shanahan.
"If we can sort out all the required paperwork, Marc will be involved in the squad for this weekend's game at Rotherham Titans."
Plymouth Albion are 10th in the Championship table, having lost both of their opening games.
