Prince Harry has been named honorary president of England Rugby 2015 as the World Cup organisers mark one year to go until the tournament begins.
The prince, who helped organise the recent Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women, is a vice-patron of the Rugby Football Union.
England Rugby 2015 chief Debbie Jevans said: "The prince is a great rugby fan.
"No doubt he'll help us achieve our aim of staging a tournament that reaches out to new and existing fans."
The World Cup will take place at 13 stadiums in England and Wales.
England face Fiji at Twickenham in the opening match on 18 September.
