Bath number eight Leroy Houston has been banned for three weeks after being found guilty of a tip tackle in Saturday's 29-22 defeat at Wasps.
Houston was cited for a dangerous tackle on Wasps' Joe Simpson in the 38th minute of the Premiership clash.
The 27-year-old was given a yellow card for the incident and pleaded guilty at a disciplinary hearing.
Houston, who can return to action on 4 November, was one of three Bath players sin-binned during the defeat.
The Premiership club are struggling for back-row options, with Francois Louw, Matt Garvey, Carl Fearns and Alafoti Fa'osiliva sidelined through injury.
Bath had entered talks with Toulon flanker Steffon Armitage about a possible move to The Rec but head coach Mike Ford said on Tuesday that a deal looked "unlikely".
