Guernsey Rugby Club's Daniel de Kock has become the latest young player to sign a deal with a professional side.
The 20-year-old hooker has been offered a scholarship until the end of the season at Championship club Doncaster.
He follows former Guernsey players and who are on the books of the Cornish Pirates.
"It's an unbelievable opportunity and absolutely right for Daniel," rugby development officer Steve Melbourne told BBC Radio Guernsey.
De Kock has been away at college in South Africa but came back to Guernsey in September to work with the island club and has also had trials at Premiership side Leicester.
"Leicester are pretty much awash with hookers at this present stage so we approached Doncaster Knights," added Melbourne.
"He went up there for a week, impressed massively with his attitude and his determination and since then he has been offered a scholarship until the end of the season working alongside both their second, feeder and first teams at Championship rugby level."
