Championship: London Scottish 38-17 Jersey
London Scottish got back to winning ways with a 38-17 home win over Jersey.
Tries from Peter Lydon, Lee Millar and Miles Mantella gave the Exiles a comfortable half-time advantage.
James Chisholm's debut try secured the bonus point for Scottish, who had lost their last four games, and then skipper Mark Bright crashed over the fifth try.
Jersey front-row Sam Lockwood and back Grant Pointer claimed consolation tries before Matt Williams' score crushed any Jersey hopes of a late comeback.
The islanders had gone into the game with a sickness bug in the camp, ruling out fly-half Aaron Penberthy and winger Mark McCrea and affecting others in the squad.
Lydon's try on 10 minutes, after good work from winger Mantella, set the hosts on their way before centre Millar intercepted in his own 22 and cruised through to score.
Mantella's converted try with the final move of the half gave Scottish a 21-3 advantage.
Dual-registered Harlequins back-row forward Chisholm crossed the whitewash to ensure the bonus point with less than 50 minutes on the clock and then Bright's score from a maul opened up an imposing 30-point lead.
Jersey briefly threatened to take a losing bonus point from the game when prop Lockwood grounded the ball after a driving maul and then soon after replacement Tobias Hoskins fed Pointer for the second.
Williams, though, closed the door on any thoughts of a stirring fightback by claiming the hosts' sixth try to end James Buckland's side poor run of form.
The result sees Jersey drop out of the top half of the Championship table, while Scottish keep up the pressure on leaders Bristol.
