Chris Pennell and Jonathan Thomas return to the Worcester bench after lengthy injury lay-offs as both the Warriors and Jersey make major changes ahead of their Championship match.

Dean Ryan has made seven changes to his starting line-up as Max Stelling faces his former club at centre.

Jersey boss Harvey Biljon makes 10 changes from the side that started against London Scottish last week.

Nick Campbell, Jonny Bentley, Alex Rae, Lewis Robling and Drew Locke stay in.

The two sides have never played one another before, with Worcester currently second in the Championship and Jersey seventh.

Worcester's other changes from the side which won 22-10 at bottom-of-the-table Plymouth Albion see Georgian prop Val Rapava Ruskin returning to the front row while Ryan Mills partners Stelling at centre and Ryan Lamb comes in at fly-half for Ignacio Mieres.

Charlie Mulchrone starts at scrum-half while flankers Matt Cox and Matt Gilbert come in.

Jersey give a first start of the season to prop Nick Selway after injury while is given his full debut at full-back.

David Bishop returns at centre while Mark McCrea starts on the wing and Ryan Glynn is picked at scrum-half.

Alongside Selway, Ignacio Lancuba and Gareth Harris make up a new front row while Paula Kaho, Joe Buckle and Michael Noone make up the back row.

"We're using this whole season to try and grow people's understanding so I'm delighted with where we're at," said Worcester boss Ryan.

"Players coming in and raising the standard will either ask questions of those who have been in there or they will hold the shirt. And the more places that we can get that, the better."

Biljon's side come into the game after another tough away fixture at third-placed London Scottish last week.

"Two weekends on the bounce away from home we're playing third and second in the table respectively," he told BBC Radio Jersey.

"But at the same time we want to be challenged, we're putting in the hard work for reasons that we can test ourselves against teams at the top of the table and know what's expected of us and how we learn from it as the season goes on."
