Wing Hallam Amos has described Newport Gwent Dragons' Pro12 derby win over Cardiff Blues as one of his best performances for the region.
Dragons battled to a dramatic 23-17 win against Blues at Cardiff Arms Park.
Lyn Jones' side had only won two matches in their 10 Pro12 matches before the Boxing Day game.
"First half especially we were really good and stuck to the game plan, got good territory and the points came," Wales international Amos said.
"Across the park we played well and it was really nice to get the win. I'm really pleased with everyone's performance.
"But as we said in the changing room it's only half-time and we've got them next week at home. We've got to consolidate this win with a win next week."
"It's going to be a real battle next week."
Dragons, who host Blues in the return match at Rodney Parade on New Year's Day, are 10th in the Pro12 table following the victory.
Two members of the side which won at the Arms Park, Amos and fellow back Tyler Morgan, 19, have signed Welsh rugby dual contracts.
Scarlets prop Rhodri Jones has also signed a dual deal and 20-year-old Amos is pleased his future has been resolved.
"It's a massive confidence boost and means I can focus on Dragons and focus on my game," Amos added.
