Launceston forwards coach Mike Lewis praised the character of the players after their 19-9 victory over Shelford in National Two South.
The Cornish All Blacks moved up to 10th in the table and have now won four of their last six matches.
"It was the character that the players are showing at the minute which is getting us across the line," he said.
"We're within touching distance of every game and that's the character I think we've built very well this year."
Launceston have the best recent form of any club outside of the top six in the division, but Lewis insists there is still more to come from his improving side.
"We haven't just quite got that clinical edge to finish, but we were good today, when we got into the opposition's third we always came away with points," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"I really hope it goes on, we've got Dings Crusaders at home next week and hopefully it'll be another victory and we'll build on this performance."
