Jersey head coach Harvey Biljon says he knew it would take time to build a winning team after he 12 months ago.

The island side have won just three Championship matches all season.

They have recently ended an eight game losing streak and this weekend host fourth-placed Nottingham.

"We've recruited a young group, but we're learning, we're growing and I'm happy to be patient with this set of players," Biljon told BBC Radio Jersey.

"There'll be no slacking off in the plans we have in terms of training, conditioning and building a successful rugby club for the long-term.

"But in the short-term, Nottingham will be a very tough game because they're a side that are up in the top four for a reason."
