Steffon Armitage: Prosecutor calls for suspended jail term

A French prosecutor told a court on Tuesday that Toulon's English forward Steffon Armitage should receive a suspended jail term of between five and six months for an alleged assault.
Armitage and team-mate Xavier Chiocci were arrested in January after an incident involving a 30-year-old man.
Armitage, 29, denied the charges, saying he was "very inebriated" and did not remember hitting anyone.
The ruling will be made on 24 February, while Chiocci, 24, faced no charges.
Flanker Armitage has five international caps but has been excluded from the England squad because the Rugby Football Union does not select overseas-based players.
