Gloucester's Rob Cook is unlikely to return before the end of this season from a dislocated shoulder, according to director of rugby David Humphreys.
The 30-year-old full-back suffered the injury in November against Harlequins and has not featured since.
Humphreys told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "With any injury, it's hard to put a time on it.
"He is progressing well but with the nature of the injury, we would be lucky to see him before the season's end."
Cook joined Gloucester from Cornish Pirates in the summer of 2012 after three seasons at the Mennaye Field.
"We would like to see him back as soon as he is fit and that will ultimately be the decision for the medical team," Humphreys added.
