Simon Hammersley extends Newcastle Falcons contract

Simon Hammersley made his Newcastle Falcons debut against Leicester Tigers at the start of the season

Newcastle Falcons full-back Simon Hammersley has extended his contract until the end of next season.

The 21-year-old Durham University graduate has made 10 Premiership appearances this season after coming through the club's academy.

Hammersley told the club website: "It's really good to have the chance to stay on next season and it's nice we managed to get it all nailed down early.

"This season has been so far and beyond what I could have hoped for."
