Launceston boss Neil Bayliss unhappy after Cambridge loss

Launceston have won just one of their last seven matches in National Two South

Launceston director of rugby Neil Bayliss is unhappy with how side played in their 28-7 loss at home to Cambridge in National Two South.

The defeat was their fifth loss in seven games as they dropped to 12th in the league, five points above the relegation zone.

"It was not a good performance from us," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cornwall after the defeat.

"Being 21 points down in the first 20 minutes gives you a mountain to climb."

He continued: "Cambridge did the simple things well.

"They went hard with the ball, they went direct with the ball and they were better than us at the breakdown.

"That's something we'll have to look at because they were far superior at the breakdown and it showed.

"The boys are disappointed with themselves out there and it's up to us as coaches to get them back up ready for the short trip to Clifton next week."
