Championship side Cornish Pirates have added utility back Toby May to their squad on a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old, who can play at full-back or centre, has played senior rugby for National Three London side Westcombe Park based in Kent.

It comes after Ian Davies' side signed Canadian international Brett Beukeboom from Plymouth Albion on Thursday.

"Toby impressed us when we met up with him back in February," director of rugby Davies told the club website.

"He's an intelligent guy and will add to the depth for next season."

Pirates have already extended the contracts of flanker Alex Cheeseman and winger Kyle Moyle, as well as four other players.
