Adam Nixon: New Guernsey scrum-half has potential for future
Guernsey head coach Jordan Reynolds says new scrum-half Adam Nixon will be a good long-term asset for the club.
The 21-year-old, who was with National One side Darlington Mowden Park last season, played for the first time for the island side in last week's friendly with Cornish Pirates.
"We feel there's a lot of potential there," Reynolds told BBC Guernsey.
"We'll be looking to have him over here for at least three or four years, which would be great."
Nixon will provide competition for veteran scrum-half Malcolm Barnes, who will also help coach the youngster.
"He'll be a good asset for us," added Reynolds.
"He was playing National One last year so to have a guy at that age playing at that level to come down to Guernsey means there'll be good things for the future for us."
