National Two South: Redruth eye improvement for 2015-16

Redruth can improve on last season's ninth-place finish in National Two South, says boss Steve Larkins.

The Reds begin the 2015-16 season with an away trip to Berkshire to face newly-promoted Redingensians.

"Our expectations are to move on from last year, keep our home form as good as we possibly can, and to improve our away form," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"It's unfortunate we start with an away game, we won our first game away last year and then our away form dipped."

Larkins says his side, which has seen a number of new faces join over the summer, are better prepared for the new campaign than they were in 2014.

"We're a long ahead of where we were this time last year in terms of personnel and in terms of our understanding of the game, but also our confidence of going away from home," he added.

"In general our game play has improved as well."
