Guernsey head coach Jordan Reynolds says he is relieved that his side have got their first win of the season.

The Raiders scored eight tries as they smashed Chichester 52-14 in their first home game of the season.

"It was a relief after last week," Reynolds said, referring to their 39-23 loss to London Irish Wild Geese.

"We worked pretty hard on our mental game during the week and we refocused ourselves and picked ourselves up after that Irish defeat."

The result leaves Guernsey mid-table in National Three London South East after two games.

"It was good to get the points and we thoroughly deserved them," Reynolds told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"We played some really good stuff, but we've got to be grounded, it's just one little step to where we need to be at the end of the season.

"We're not getting too much ahead of ourselves, Chichester had a bit of a bad day as well so we'll look at some positives from it."
