Steve Larkins: Redruth can achieve top-four finish

Redruth are 13 points off top spot in National Two South

Redruth boss Steve Larkins says his side are capable of making the top four of National Two South.

The fifth-placed Reds crushed sixth-placed Old Elthamians 37-13 last week, in a performance that Larkins described as "unbelievable".

"It's a possibility that we can get into that top four," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We've played three of the top four teams away from home now, so we've only got Cambridge to go away from home."

Redruth are a point off fourth-placed Bishop's Stortford and 13 points off joint-leaders Old Albanians and Cambridge.

"We're in a good position at the moment, but we're still looking at tweaking things each week to make sure we improve week on week and make sure that by the end of the season some of the young players that we've got are better players than they were in September," said Larkins.

"At the moment that is definitely the case, they're coming through to be very good National Two players."
