Cornish Pirates boss Ian Davies says his side have "an air of confidence" as their excellent run of form continues.

The club have risen from the bottom of the Championship to ninth place after six wins in their last seven games in all competitions.

"A few of the boys have matured and have a better understanding of what we're doing and why we're doing it," Davies told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"There's an air of confidence within the squad, there's a feel-good factor."

League wins over Jersey, London Welsh and Bedford have been added to by British & Irish Cup victories over Welsh, Nottingham and Cardiff Blues Premiership Select.

"It's a good bunch of players and I think you're seeing that on the field," added Davies, as his players prepare for a weekend trip to Rotherham.
