Redruth revel in impressive 21-10 win at Southend

Redruth boss Steve Larkins says his side's 21-10 National Two South win at Southend was one of their best away showings of the season.

Kyle Marriott scored two tries for the Reds while Tom Cowan-Dickie got the other as Redruth consolidated fifth place in the division.

"The way we played was probably one of our best away performances," he said.

"I thought the way we scrummaged, the way we tackled, and the way we attacked them was outstanding," Larkins added.

The victory was Redruth's fifth in their last six games as they moved 10 points clear of sixth-placed Clifton and five points behind fourth-placed Taunton.

"It's going really well and we're just looking forward to this month," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We've got some tough games coming up, we've got Bishop's Stortford, we've got Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds this weekend, so it's a hard month. But we're looking forward to it and really relishing those challenges."
