Glasgow Warriors centre Alex Dunbar has not given up hope of playing in Scotland's final two matches in this year's Six Nations.

Dunbar, 25, is fit again following a thigh injury and will play for the Warriors against Dragons on Thursday.

Scotland's team to face Italy on Saturday will be named on Thursday, with France (home) and Ireland (away) their next two opponents.

"You never know," said Dunbar of his hopes of adding to his 14 caps.

"You've just got to go out there and play well for Glasgow. I've got an opportunity [against Dragons] so it's one that I'm looking forward to."

Dunbar is also optimistic defending Pro12 champions Glasgow can finish the season strongly,

"The boys played really well last week [in the win over Munster]," he added.

"We've got two games in hand. We know if we go out there and play our best rugby we can beat anyone. Normally, this part of the season, we have a good run-in.

"Hopefully the results come."
