Cornish Pirates second-row Brett Beukeboom has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old Canada international hurt his knee in the British and Irish Cup semi-final loss at London Welsh.

"It needs to be assessed, but he's not going to play again this season," Pirates boss Ian Davies said.

"By the time he's gone through the process of being scanned and assessed we've only got five weeks left, so he's not going to play again."

Beukeboom signed a two-year deal at the Mennaye last summer, having left rivals Plymouth Albion following their relegation from the Championship.
