Shane Geraghty: Bristol sign London Irish fly-half
Premiership club Bristol have signed fly-half Shane Geraghty from Championship side London Irish.
The 30-year-old former Northampton Saints back was capped six times by England between 2007 and 2009.
"Shane brings with him a knowledge of top-level rugby," director of rugby Andy Robinson told Bristol's website.
London Irish are top of the second tier after six wins from six this term while Bristol - yet to avoid defeat this season - are bottom of the top flight.
Bristol are currently without 15 players through injury, including backs Tusi Pisi (groin), Callum Sheedy (hamstring), Adrian Jarvis (calf) and Gavin Henson (dead leg).
The groin injury that Pisi picked up in 8 November's loss at Newcastle Falcons could keep him out for at least three months.
Robinson added: "We are confident Shane can add something to us, especially in an area where we are short of players at the moment."
