Ben Harris: Wasps agree short-term loan deal for Newcastle Falcons prop
Premiership club Wasps have bolstered their options in the front row by signing Newcastle Falcons prop Ben Harris on a short-term loan deal.
The 27-year-old will provide cover at loosehead, with both Simon McIntyre and Alex Lundberg out with ankle injuries.
Harris joined Newcastle from Championship side Yorkshire Carnegie in the summer of 2015.
He has not played so far this season following a knee operation, but is now back to full fitness.
"We've been left a little short with the injuries to Simon and Alex so we're pleased to be able to add someone of Ben's ability to the squad," Wasps director of rugby Dai Young told the club website.
"He will complement the group of front row players at the club heading into a very busy period as we approach Christmas."
Coventry-based Wasps are currently second in the Premiership table, one point behind defending champions Saracens, after winning six of their seven games so far this season.
